While filming my episode of ABC’s Secret Millionaire, I became fast friends with Wendy Marantz Levine and Alicia Marantz Liotta, two noble gals whose beautiful sister and cousin Melissa passed away at age 28 from a degenerative neuromuscular disease.
Aware of how nourishing in-home treatments were for maintaining Melissa’s quality of life, Wendy and Alicia created The Beauty Bus Foundation in 2009, which provides in-home beauty and grooming services, free of charge, to chronically or terminally ill patients and their caregivers, who hardly have the time or the resources to treat themselves to something they truly deserve.
I’ll be speaking and showing my support at their annual fundraiser The Beauty Drive, and I’d like to personally invite you to join me there: Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.
The Beauty Drive will be hosted by primetime KCAL and KCBS news anchor Lisa Sigell. It’s a great opportunity to get involved with a charitable organization and catch up with me —and you can even bring your beau along to meet ESPN SportsCenter co-anchor Neil Everett, enjoy the men’s lounge, or compete in the putting contest.
Get ready for a day of mini-manis, brow-shaping, a PopTinsel hair treatment, and a silent auction for a trip to Maui or an iPad2 —all for a great cause.
Right now, Gilt City is offering a special $25 discount on tickets to The Beauty Drive. To purchase your tickets, go here now.
Hope to see you, SUNDAY, April 17 at the House of Blues in L.A.!

Ali – I watched “Secret Millionaire” for the first time because I saw it was about Venice. I am long time resident of the west side and I never realized how many wonderful charitable organizations there are in the area. We should all be moved to get out there and offer ourselves to help others in the community. By involving yourself in this program, you have opened our eyes to what we can do to contribute. Thank you! See you at the “Beauty Bus” fund raiser April 17th.

I love your show on Secret Millionaire. I have one question. I’ve purchased so many job offers saying that I can work from home. What’s makes yours so different. I’m disabled and don’t have the money to keep spending on scams. I can chronic pain but still want to work. Thanks

Ali;
I was very touched and inspired by your love and concern for people you have never met. You are an inspiration for me to be able to go into buisness. My dream is to open a group home for young women. There is such a need here. Wonderful job. Thank you for being you

This was my first show I have watched. I volunteer in the local community in Ohio at the Food Pantry. It is just a few blocks away from a huge University campus and until 2 years ago I had no clue there were so many needy people and families. I am helping as much as I can (mostly time, less money).
I am glad a successful woman like you got involved with the community in her back yard. I can see you doing so many great things since you are such a sweet and caring person! You rock and just with your connections, you can go a very long way in helping others! God bless you, Ali!!!

I love watching this show and this one was espeicially touching. A friend of mine was diagnosed with ALS at 47 only lived 6 months after diagnosis. While in the nursing home we would pluck her eyebrows and paint her toe nails wild colors she loved it, she couldn’t speak but her eyes told us.Thinking about starting Beuty Bus here in Cincinnati.

Ali I watched last night’s episode of Secret Millionaire and was very impressed. I see myself in you, the things you are doing are what I am working towards. The one charity that moved me was the one that took in the single mothers. That is my desire to purchase homes and place single mothers and children in them. I know it is possible! I am working on the info to get it going. You have truly inspired me! I think God gives dreams like these to people who have compassionate hearts and those he knows will carry them out. Thanks for being an inspiration! God bless!

Dear Ali,
The finale last night hit me right in the heart. Coming from a family riddled with violence, lies and even the murder of my bio father by my step father when I was a baby. I was invisible, afraid, lonely, wore hand me down clothes, and took care of my violent alcoholic stepfather while my mother was at work from the age of 6. My family of six lived in a 1 bedroom apt. with my alcoholic stepfather who was also a hoarder of trash.
By a stroke of luck the Ford Modeling Agency in New York discovered me at age 14 and signed me to a 10 year contract which became my ticket of out of hell. I tried to kill myself when I was 11 so I don’t think I would be here today if it wasn’t for Eileen Ford taking me out of that environment and giving me the tools to be independent. I watched the episode twice in a row and cried the whole way through it. I’m so glad I found you as I continue to learn the tools you have given me as I start another career as an entrepreneur. I will sing your praises to every woman I know. You are the real deal, so real, sweet and loving with a truly divine purpose. Bless your heart. I am proud of you and to be a part of MPC. It’s never to late to have a happy childhood. Thank you for your courage and generosity of heart. I know you have already changed millions of young girls and women who watched the “Secret Millionaire” last night.
PS I donated a “Create a Soulmate” five session coaching package to the “BEAUTY BUS” fundraiser.
Much Love and gratitude, Meg
